Share consolidation is in most cases a death knell for companies...Their sp's slip back and often don't recover

Simply having a lot of shares in issue is not a reason to consolidate...there must be a compelling reason

A lot of people are in favour of it in the erroneous belief that a 10c stock which becomes a $1 stock will suddenly attract institutional investors. It doesn't work like that. The fundamentals and the market cap remain the same
