Further, IMO, if we look to be being dragged down wouldn't it seem prudent for Deutche Bank and Norges Bank who now are major shareholders to take control one way or another.

If there is no longer a BNB then management contracts will become void as far as I can see. Surely someone will untie the ropes from the lifeboats before the titanic goes down.
