Who cares about our market here. Tomorrow's open will be decided by what the US does tonight.

So what the heck is going on over there. That was a massive rally last night. It is interesting to read what the US stockmarket forums have to say about it.

It seems everyone argees it was not investors. What idiot would jump on the market with all this sh1t hitting the fan - Lehman, unemployment, etc etc?

The best explanation I read was it was the ppt out doing some pest control work on the shorters.

I like that explanation. The ASX should try it. It kind of fits with what I observed last night. The rally was across the board. Banks included. Whoever it was had deep pocket's alright and it was certainly done to ramp up the market. 15 min before close it rocketed.

Will they do it again tonight? I hope so, if they don't keep up with the pest extermination work, those pesty shorters will be back and what hope would McCain have then?
