What are these 'new materials' used to lower the cost of lithium ion batteries? Tesla, Merc, IBM, Nikola Trucks, Panasonic are just some of the many companies researching and developing new batteries free of cobalt and nickel and these are the most expensive materials maybe they have already discovered a cheaper alternative? All imho.
