honestly it's really simple for me: you can rarely call the highs and lows, and I don't want to pay full CGT on every/most trades. In theory yes you would sell high and buy low ad nauseum, but can you do that with consistent and reliable enough success to make up for the added stress/brokerage/CGT? Me personally, I have a full time job and could never be a great day trader so no...
