I am not 100% but my understanding is WEB and WebBeds in particular is now almost a service behind the Booking.coms of the world and maybe even Google so when they book they filter via WEB and WEB takes a small clip of the ticket per transaction which could be 5c but across millions of transactions this all adds up!
Hence why they are so attractive to bidders as they can then control the distribution chain and perhaps even cut Google off and hold them to ransom?
A WEB update I saw mentioned they provide services to 5-6 large international travel agents but I am not sure who these are?
Would be good to get further clarification in the mid year report around their business model but I am sure this is something if asked of the company they may be able to respond to perhaps not with details of clients but at least Google as a threat an their direction.
