mikeoh-here is a thought-in a boom all suply ,chemicals etc are bought or reserved in advance forcing up prices,i am no expert but in the last few weeks ,mines are cutting back,single product and marginally unprofitable mines are closing-hedge funds are clawling back under whatever rock they came from--i suspect a lot of the shortages and price rises were causes by third parties-its just a thought but in the next couple of months we may find out what was real and what isnt ?
