    Thanks Mr Fingers

that was very informative, even if MM didn't know when SARS began, and when she guessed, she got it wrong by 4 years. A little vague for someone running an antiviral program that has just applied for a patent that extensively utilized the SARS virus. I can't imagine why someone in her position doesn't recall such a fact. It's like a school history teacher not recalling when WW2 began.

I've read a lot of criticism about her on these threads but never paid it much attention. I'll start scrutinizing better.

On the up side, and a very big up side, is that Biotron is examining 2019nCoV. GREAT NEWS!

It was expected as I and others have stated many times. Even only this morning when everyone else was selling, I bought more and showed my purchase here, and said that we have not seen the last of BIT and nCoV. It is completely ridiculous that they would not be pursuing the new virus. Finding a solution to all coronaviruses is a significant part of their portfolio. Pursuing nCoV was a given in my mind.

Moving on. As stated by MM, BIT will gain access to material and commence work.

What will be the outcome? No one knows.

But BIT will pursue it in line with their specific unique method. For those not clued up, other labs are attempting to develop a vaccine focusing on the S Proteins. These are the large spikes projecting from the virus that you see on 3D images on the evening news. These spikes are primarily responsible for the virus attaching onto host cells, and is what most antivirals work against, such as the HIV antivirals that are being used to combat nCoV so far.

In the case of HIV, the standard antivirals are capable of killing HIV only in certain areas of the human body, mostly within blood vessels, but not in organs. This is why HIV is not cured, as the virus still remains in certain human organs where antivirals don't penetrate, and this is why patients require to continually take the antivirals for their lifetime.

But BIT has managed to remove the hidden HIV and eradicate the virus, by discovering a method that interrupts the Ion Channel of the much smaller E Protein that is responsible for essential stages of the virus life cycle. This Ion Channel of the E Protein is like a pathway between the virus and host cell, and even though not unique to the E Protein, it is here that when interrupted, the virus dies.

This is how BIT has managed to eradicate hidden HIV cells that other HIV antivirals cannot.

Phase 3 trials will commence in due course.

But back to the nCoV2019, BIT will pursue the same approach utilizing the E Protein.

If you ask me, I think BIT225 should be used immediately along with other HIV antivirals in nCoV patients. There is absolutely nothing to lose and maybe much to gain. I'm sure the Chinese would do it immediately.

Hopefully MM's management of all this is better than her history of SARS.
