The SPP is a bit dodgy with the way that they round the number of shares down.
If you put in $5k, you get 136 shares and a "donation to charity" of less than $2.
If you invest $4k though, you get 108 shares and a quite substantial $30.87 donation to charity - which you dont get any credit for ! And you cannot claim the $4k as being the cost base for the shares either.
SPP closes tomorrow so if you are paying by BPAY you got about 50 minutes left.
