Atm Dow futures down 360 points, FTSE down 5.08%. If the Dow goes down 5.08%, this is equivalent to approximately 560 points. This could be the capitulation that many have been waiting for. That is, some believe that we won't see a bottom until after a capitualtion day. There are several definitions for a capitualation day, one being 90% of stocks down on the day, etc.
