That verse specifically says “And they continued devoting themselves to the teaching of the apostles, to associating together, to the taking of meals, and to prayers”

Why didn’t you include the next verse 46?
46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes. They ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart.
Why would they eat their meal with exultation and sincerity of heart ???
Even a 2 year old can understand that verse, oh, I forgot, your reformation fathers didn't have any real christian foundation, and had trouble understanding simple verses so they assigned a different meaning.

Now what a coincidence, the Catholic Mass is exactly that as in ver 46, we have bible readings, prayers, and breaking of bread, and to top it off it’s done daily every day in each parish in the world when it’s convenient, and to top it off, it has been done for the last 2000 years.
You see the Catholic Church doesn’t need to put any spin in the meaning of these verses, but you do for the simple fact that you have separated yourself from the truth.
