Dear Sir / Madam
RE: CURRANS WELL DRILLING PROGRAM
Ellendale has a 75% interest in the Currans Well nickel-platinum project located in the Youanmi
Greenstone Belt, approximately 500 km northeast of Perth in the East Murchison Mineral Field.
A key feature of this project is the presence of massive sulphide nickel mineralisation, as well as
several strong electromagnetic conductors.
A moving loop electromagnetic (“MLEM”) survey was conducted during December 2003. Fourteen
line kilometres of data were acquired over an area measuring 3km x 1km. The purpose of this survey
was to extend EM data coverage to the north of a conductor that is associated with Ni-Cu-sulphide
mineralisation that was intersected during previous drilling at the West Prospect.
Two strong conductive responses were evident in the MLEM data:
(i) The MLEM data showed that the strong conductor associated with the gabbro-hosted Ni-Cu-sulphide
mineralisation at the West Prospect extends over at least 1000 metres of strike. It
appears that the northern half of this conductor has never been evaluated with drilling.
(ii) A new conductor has been delineated in the northeast of the survey area. There is considerable
potential for this conductor to be massive nickel sulfide mineralisation. This conductor appears
to lie at the basal contact of a komatiitic ultramafic unit. It is a strong, steeply dipping conductor
that has a strike extent of approximately 700 metres. Several shallow holes have been drilled
previously at the southern end of this conductor – including MYOP002 which intersected 4m @
0.36% Ni and 0.58% Cu from 14 metres. The northern half of this conductor has never been
evaluated with drilling.
A fixed loop EM survey was conducted over the new targets in late February / early March 2004 so
that drill hole collars could be sited to evaluate these new conductors.
A drilling program comprising 13 holes and a total of 3110 metres is now proposed to test the EM
conductors.
Drilling will commence as soon as a suitable rig is available.
Yours faithfully
