Running discussion on SP, page-25369

Just arrived in Cape Town, South Africa to attend Mining Indaba and the 121 Mining Investment Conference. I checked into the hotel then went down to survey the bars and restaurants. Who do I spot having a ‘pre-event’ meeting with some European-looking types with French & German accents? Yep Nigel & Graeme So I decided to grab a drink until they were free. Two drinks later, their meeting finished.......... I was just about to walk over when two Japanese-looking gentlemen walked up to them. They exchanged pleasantries and business cards and then made themselves comfortable………...another ‘pre-event’ meeting? An hour and a half (and quite a few drinks by me) later, the ‘boys’ are still chatting and the Japanese seem to like what they’re hearing.

I guess I’ll catch up with Nigel and the team at the 121 conference tomorrow.

Mining Indaba, the world’s largest mining investment event starts tomorrow at the Cape Town International Convention Centre and is on until Thursday.

The 121 Mining Investment conference is on for 2 days from tomorrow and has now become the event to ‘go to’ during Indaba. It’ll be interesting to see who has appointments with AVZ. Also Nigel will have his 10 minutes presenting on stage tomorrow at 12:50. I’ll endeavour to take a video and post it here
