It strikes me that if the bots really are allowed to sell to one other - appalling but apparently the case - then their operators can manipulate a chart however they like, at very little cost to themselves, over a substantial period of time. This will work especially well for them during a slow news period like now. Eventually they will be overwhelmed by fundamentals, but until then they can presumably play their game indefinitely. And presumably this will now be the norm for the entire asx.
The solution? Go with the flow. Figure out where they're aiming, pick up the bargains they create, and rejoice when the fundamentals finally come roaring back.
