Not sure about the trader theory. Forced selling maybe.
I have been watching the course of sales all day to get a feel for what's happening. After 10.30am there were numerous small trades in either direction. I reckon there has been a significant amount of ordinary holders that have bailed or reduced exposure today.
Position sizes don't match previous automated buying/selling patterns either.
