The direct impact would be practically zero. All of the Big 4 dipped their toes into the chinese waters about 7/8 years ago when county bank licences were being issued to foreign banks, giving them access to large regional populations, but the reality didn't live up to the hype, and I think they have all largely divested their interests now.
If China did go into recession however, I'd be more worried about the Australian economy as a whole, which would have impacts on the ASX far beyond Westpac.
