Compare the revenues from a 100Mw wind farm of Bonny standard with a Halide 100Mw farm. Bonny runs beautifully; it isn't worn out, it is superseded. Does Bonny's carrying value on IFN's books reflect this practical reality?
Bonny is redeemed by the astute installation of Bonny Bess, which turns unsalable intermittent volts into premium peak output. Even the battery needs a depreciation schedule that recognises both the 18% pa falling cost of batteries plus its 10-15 year life.
Before you all jump down my throat for talking down my investment. let me observe we need to be very clear eyed about how difficult it is to negotiate a path through this electricity revolution. I have confidence in RR & team's abilities.
