I'm a Miner in Australia's deepest & oldest copper mine.

What it costs to mine is relavent similar across all locations.

There is alot of cost involved in mining and therefore business needs to know they have a margin in most commodity price environments to be sustainable...

Knowledge these Days is only truely most important these days If you are the 1st to have it....Its somewhat easy to replicate for the right people with finacial intent.
Resource Size is like more important to process. RESOURCE now becomes an extremely important factor in sustainability or viability of a PROJECT... because thats what dictates long term value... you can sell resource @ $$$ to some one that can buy or devolp process... But if you have process & no resource than you really just have a chemical engineer on board that can move on to any project he wants.....
