kwehrend - Steve Jones was at Suncorp when I was... He was in it for the ride.. before you knew it, he had packed his bags and heading back to the US with his big fat pay cheque!
I sold my main holdings back in Jan 2007 at around $20.. this is when I left the company as an employee. Since then, the share price has continued to slide for various reason, the first main contributor was the uncertainty over hte Promina take over! It then moved further south when the market was advised that the profits for 07-08 were expected to be weaker then the 06-07 year..then the shareprice over the past few weeks has fallen from around $12 to the $8.80 today since we have become aware that Suncorp might be hurt by fallen property groups and large QLD based developers..
I personally think the last $4 fall has been speculation and fear, and that this stock should be trading at around $12-$13 as fair value.
Only my opinion of course!
