Now what they used to do was move the dollar higher and then attack gold (and they still do) and then try and cap gold as they move the dollar back down.This is a classic attack and cap operation that is constant throughout the time the gold market is open.
Very recently gold has been attacked in a massive attack while the futures markets have been simultaneously pumped higher. this has been because of this Chinese virus and these central banks are crapping themselves because a market fall could become contagious so they have let loose with pretty much everything they've got to prevent any chance of negativity with their beloved stock market.
Everything changes as it remains the same.
