What they are saying is correct in that there will naturally be some lag from when revenue is booked to when cash is actually received.
IE there may be 30 or 60 day terms for example from when the service has been recognised and invoiced (revenue) to when the bill is actually paid (cash receipts).
In my view though, the gap is widening significantly and beyond what could be expected to be normal cash lag of revenue. It appears indicative of customers not oaying their bills.
It will be cleared up either way when the half yearly is released. Accounts receivable were significant as of last report with a number of invoices having gone beyond normal payment terms. It will be a key area to review this time round to see if it is better/worse. I believe it will be worse.
