From what I've seen he has been instrumental in bringing projects through initial exploration stage right through to development and production, creating shareholder wealth during the process. Once this work has been done he hands over the reigns to someone else... Don't see anything wrong with that at all, a director is entitled to realise returns on their shares like any other shareholder.
