A HOME has reportedly sold for a record $47 million in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
The house has not yet been named, but it has been suggested as being the prestigious Coolong in Vaucluse.
Fairfax media report the beach-side house, owned by Allco founder David Coe, was listed amid hopes that it would fetch over $40 million.
Until now Sydney's house price record was the $32.4 million paid in March for Point Piper mansion Craig-y-Mor, the former home of controversial late stockbroker Renee Rivkin.
