Doesn't matter who appointed him. He has his own mind and his own reputation to think about. He also I am sure wants to be successful! His best chance of success is to get whatever options/shares he acquires up as much as possible within a reasonable time. If it was I, that's what I would do regarrdless of who appointed me. One needs to look after one-self. I am pretty sure Alastair is no different in that respect.
