I don't think there is a post indicating anyone in this thread is short selling, naked or otherwise.
in aus only naked shorts have been baned, probably temp move, covered shorts still fine
a cfd is not a short, nor is a put option

and you will see most finaincial experts agree short selling makes the markets more efficient, and is required. it is like cutting out a cancer before it consumes more of you

not that I have/can/or probably ever will short sell, but I'm so over those blaming short sellers. It's normally those who have done little research, bought some spec stock or highly leveraged smoke and mirrors operation - then get upset when it does'nt go up - which they perceive to be a basic right of all shares
