Without being too unkind one is entitled to doubt the literacy of some, the sanity of others and any overall ability to take the inititive or do anything properly.
There should be a national register of resources, research work plus planned investment and retraining in the new disruptive materials and energy sources and a serious and consistent approach to investment and incentives in these new industries.We should plan to use near 'free' energy sources to encourage more onshore processing of Australian resources.
Yet, Canberra clings to the owners and donors of those industries with soon to be isolated assets and definable decline.
Here in WA the State govt. is setting a very good example and govt. water and energy are being very positive and constructive - surely the Federal govt. can get a grip on the reality of activity.

Valid points, We have closer ties with the government than what we have ever had, The company in china we are negotiating with is huge and exactly the sort of partner we should be talking to, And the vanadium price is starting to rise, VRB is not a new thing and is installed and working perfectly in many locations and plans in place right now for others to come online, Personally I have a chunk and building on it. For the impatient think long private superannuation. It is what it is and it takes time. Massive high grade resource that will not stay under the ground.
