Dranohelp, it is great to have people such as yourself and Uni providing these in depth perspectives.
Like Spud, I find the situation in Yemen very hard to believe. The idiots have their noses so buried in the trough of corruption they can not see what they have around them and what could be economically speaking. They are so fractionalised to the point of getting in the way of common sense. Unity is what is required and inspirational leadership that can offer a visionary future for the country with real delivery. Right now is the time to strike as the world is ready to help. A newly elected government assisted by allied sovereign nations (in the short term) may well be the right way to go.
Someone needs to draw up a comprehensive and realistic economic plan of production (oil, gas, minerals, agriculture etc), projected revenues, budgets and time frames for infrastructure, healthcare, education etc, employment projections and general opportunities and their likely outcomes.
War and corruption are not working.
