Gann ... lol ... you said it all.

I certainly wasn't born yesterday either. I know that is the way it is and that is the only way for Mums and Dads to help themselves, but NOW you have finally gotten to the guts of it. So corruption, manipulation, etc, etc is totally acceptable in your book and therefore no attempt to improve the markets credibility (or our financial world in general) should be made from here? Basically you are saying no, because you are accepting that that is how it has always been and therefore how it always should be???!

As I started out in this thread. Biased strategies for the profit of a few at the expense of others are all only part of the other immoralities and evils that happen in and are associated with our markets. I didn't ever say they don't happen, that I am not aware of them, or that it won't continue to happen, as that is "the system that has been built". It doesn't mean however, I accept that "that system" is all ok as the "best system", or that I am totally comfortable for it to continue to operate in that way.

All said, as you say, little will change as history repeats again .... all the evils and ills will be swept under the mat as before and forgotten again.
