Correction I read a poster mention a R&D refund of AU$1 million that is incorrect it is Euro 1 Million which is AU$1.6 which is due by June.
The $2M spend on R&D in the last 4C was to Leti. How good is that the French Government refund $1.6M of it Wise move by WBT having a French subsidiarity.
Have a staff of about 30 some are part time so figure pivots around the 30 figure. All but three work on R&D they are Coby, Alla Felder CFO, who was present and one other office staffer.

China when it started its telephone network they by passed traditional land lines and went strait to mobile, Their phone system is all 5G being the best system in the world.
XTX intend doing the same with memory they intend to jump Flash memory (embedded memory) and develop Discrete Memory, encouraged by the Chinese Government.
Each one of its provinces wish to be the leader in the semiconductor industry. There are presently 30 fabs under construction in China at a cost of $30Billion each. All are SiOx with NO OTHER Materials. This may be a strong indication of direction China is taking, my pickup. Coby mentioned twice WBT no other materials.

WBT's memory is SiOx with no other material. When presenting to others in the industry they are astounded that no other materials are used.
SiOx is sand with oxygen added which is glass. The secret is the amount of oxygens added or subtracted. They are talking about one or two oxygens added or subtracted. They are dealing in single atoms. One oxygens is a atom either way will alter things like retention, heat, speed. There is no spelling mistake oxygens is the term used. WBT's SiOx has Higher Margins than when other competitors add OTHER MATERIALS

WBT's Embedded Memory it does not require a selector as it is either on or off ( may not have the correct wording with on or off )

A "selector" is critical for Discrete Memory the selector may look at say 100 parts but require only 4 so the selector identifies those 4 increasing speed. With ReRAM it will shrink FLASH cannot.
When XTX indicated that they wish to "jump" Embedded and go strait to Discrete Memory. Leti had been working on a selector for the last five years and had spent 10's of millions no exact figure was given. This has propelled WBT's entry into the Embedded market by several years and do not need to fund past work done by Leti.

With XTX staff that are involved most are continuing to work from home

WBT's Legal team have been carefully selected they have branches worldwide as well as in China where half of their staff are located.
