Probably reacting to the news regarding the US$700 billion bailout - Democrats and Treasury/Fed in the process of ironing out their views.
It is still early. I believe the PPT will come in at a later time to give the futures a bit of boost. They may let it fall - if their intentions are to create a bit of a panic in the market to get the bill pass quickly and without any adds on. Just my two cents.
