Take what you can get, when you can get it.
If it was “just a waste of time” then why bother to start with?
Get some answers then push for more clarity etc.
Sure, don’t expect market sensitive info, but some clarity may have been up for grabs... makes no sense to me to “walk away” at that stage.
Something, anything, is surely better than nothing. Opportunity (albeit minor) wasted imo!
