Yep thats right folks.
Short term, its really going to boost the markets. Its a short term policy measure.
But long term, its a horrible move.
Funds use shorts to HEDGE LONG POSITIONS.
If they cant hedge a long position - especially when the markets are volatile and falling - then they will be FORCED TO SELL STOCK TO MINIMISE EXPOSURE and thus SP will move harder and harder to the downside
banning short selling is bad long term
