davo77.you only see one side of the story. As brenomulo says, people create false rumours on the long side too.
Bulls are being painted as saints while shorters are evil.
This is quite ridiculous.
People are forgetting that this short selling is only possible because the FUNDAMENTALS are bad.
If BNB et. al. were strong companies the shorters would be met by equal amount of buying from the Instos creating status quo or rising prices as they cover quickly seeing they can't win.
The real problem has always been people who can't afford it taking out massive margin loans and buying stocks with debt.
Nobody complained about naked shorts or any short selling when the market was setting record highs every week.
Blame the fundamentals and financials cowboys along with excessive margin lending, NOT the short sellers.
They just take advantage of the situation just like bulls do the same in good times, i.e. pushing worthless uranium companies from 10c to 30c on the back of some drilling results.
