New to HC - forgive me if this has already been discussed.
Do not hold CIM, but would like to. After briefly reading over CIM history, a couple of concerns popped up.
With scandals in both the Middle East (now exiting the region) and in Hong Kong, has CIM burnt their bridges overseas? - was this the reason for the name change from Leighton Holdings Limited? Internationally a company is only as good as their reputation and if that reputation is tarnished does that mean that their earning will tread water or even go backwards in the foreseeable future?.
Secondly, should it be of concern that CIM is 70% owned by another single company.
This is not down ramping - just a noob wanting insight from more informed investors.
Would like to pull the trigger but these issues are ticking away in the back of my mind.
Thanks for any clarity that can be given.
