Lets ignore for a moment that old mate Chuck DeVore is a Republican that works for the Texas Public Policy Foundation which has been funded by the oil majors.

To his claims: Seems he's making a claim after the event. Georgetown signed a contract for energy and it appears that sometime after that wholesale prices went down. He fails to mention how long they have gone down for or wether they will be at that price for the duration of the contract. A very important point that he's left out.

Next he complains about the subsidy level for renewables. So what ? The contracted price obviously includes that for the life of the contract. No doubt at the end of the contract , 20 years, the subsidies will be gone and they get to negotiate again.

The video explains the actual practicalities of the availability of renewables 24/7. No one is hiding that.

Seems our old fossil funded mate is being selective with the facts.

Who knew that would happen ?
