regi,i stronly disagree with your comparison...i would say that the average joe in australia would be easily better off than the average jo in america..as far as housing, i don't know where in australia you are, but in WA , most housing is double brick with a living area of more than 200sqm..infrastructure 2nd to none, and far as medical facilities, i can say that i rather fall ill in perth, with no medical cover, than in any american city.
oh yeah, are you familiar with the term "trailer park" ?
