Fibre optic networking is no white ele. It was the Libs playing politics with it that killed it. I'm about to hook up some sites to Gigabit Ethernet, that's 1000Mbps !!!! Throw in SDWAN as the new tech for business networking and you can aggregate those connections- so 2 x 1000Mbps. That technology is only achievable if your on the FTTP (Rudd) as opposed to FTTN (Turnbull). The promise of 5G suitable for business large and small is a long way off (if ever), too many issues with coverage, security and signal loss.

The productivity, innovation and cost advantage to business on those types of fibre speeds is beyond calculation. Pity we have the conservatives forever being conservative and holding back innovation- in more than just Information technology.
