I don't think that consolidation will do any good unless it's backed up with decent news. They've said they were talking to a bunch of folk, were confident of an imminent deal with someone worthy(paraphrasing) and Bahay seems pretty amped up about the New Mexico call for interest. If none of this bears fruit then all a consolidation might do is build a higher platform for the SP to jump off.
