Forget the Liberal Labor trench warfare. Turnbull is not a career politician. He came to it after 50 years of other (successful)experiences. I couldn't care if he was Liberal or Labor. He has a sharp mind, a keen alertness for BS and a sense of humour. This guy is relaxed 'cause he has nothing to prove. His lack of factional baggage gives him a freedom virtually unknown in Aust. politics. This terrifies career politicians, especially on the Labor side.


The frustrating and robotic refusal to answer questions is what the Rudd team regard as admirable 'discipline'. The ability to stay 'on message'. Did you see his Minister for Aged Care on Lateline last night? A truly disgraceful performance for which she will be heartliy congratulated by her colleagues this morning.
