Jesus rightly rebuked him saying:

That's a good point you make Tonio. It was my mistake to claim Jesus rebuked Satan,he simply told him to ''go away.'' He had not yet been given authority to rebuke Satan.
Here's the account of what happened when as warrior king Michael he was first given that authority.

(Revelation 12:7-10) And war broke out in heaven: Miʹcha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the Kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God!

Michael was given authority to do more than rebuke Satan, he threw him out of heaven.
Jesus understood from prophecy he would have to wait at God's right hand to be given that authority.
(Psalm 110:1, 2) Jehovah declared to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.” 2 Jehovah will extend the scepter of your power out of Zion, saying: “Go subduing in the midst of your enemies.”

It was not until he received the ''scepter'' in 1914 that he was authorized to “Go subduing in the midst of your(Jesus') enemies.”
