For you to suggest that because nothing has happened with alt tech separation means EITHER nothing will or it's all a nothingburger is the height of blind arrogance. You don't know what you are talking about, but you keep talking to make sure we all know.

I have personally tested many chelates for metals both nuclear isotopes and otherwise. They might be able to knock down U/Th or separate DyTb, but their use for larger scale currently seems prohibitive. I've spoken with Innovation about their work and confirmed it. They are using both derivatives crown ethers and multidentates. I would not be surprised if either found a role to play at the tonnage scale. They can be used to enable or enhance IC or SX- based applications, just a matter of the ligands attached to the chelate. I have worked with many. They can also be used in continuous modes very simply and these are robust chemicals, easily loaded and unloaded. They are used to concentrate or extract. They can be run through collector columns or they can be the solid phase. Highly versatile.

Tech keeps improving. You not so much, though it's nice to have my parrot hawking BEVs and high voltage traction motors without glib references to torch batteries for a change. Hawking squawking Dy now, too, lol.
