Radio report says he jumped into the car uninvited (on the passengers side), then after dousing the petrol (no mention of igniting it before or after) stabbing himself in the chest with a knife and shouting the family needs to burn or words to that affect.
Sounds like somebody that saw his children as possessions and not little human lives.
