I agree, AMP Capital has now overtaken AMP Wealth as the highest money earning division in the whole group, $198M compared to $182M. Even AMP Bank is getting close at $141M
Thank goodness AMP Capital was not directly affected by the Royal Commission as much as AMP Wealth. Earnings grew by 19% last year (AFR said recently 16% compounded over the last 5 years), and with assets under management increasing by $16B in FY19, exceeding $203B is a phenomenal achievement.
