junk mail tactics, page-4

You just reminded me of how narrow minded some people can be..

I have a 11 year old son who is autistic (or as some people may say intellectually disabled) and he asked if he could earn some pocket money doing a simple task of delivering some flyers in the local area. No problem there, and we explained to him that any letter boxes that had a sign with "no junk mail" on them didn't want flyers which he come to understand as his reading ability is quite limited.

Anyway to cut a long story short i was following him around in the car to keep an eye on him while he enjoyed delivering his flyers...one particular house had "no advertising material" on the letterbox and my son not being able to recognise what that meant popped one in the box and was confronted by the irate home owner who ripped it out of the letterbox and proceeded to jam it in my sons face while berating him at the same time.

Needless to say i got out of the car and grabbed the offending individual by the ears and delivered what i consider to be one of the greatest headbutts of all times...the moral of the story is perhaps we should all be a little more understanding towards people with "intellectual disabilites."
