Personally I think the director posting on HC has been great for Race, as the mkt cap was tiny and the company little known.

He suggested yesterday that his postings have had no effect on the sp. I think the opposite. Because of what he wrote at one time I bought where as normally I would have sold (a 200k shares swing).

But I do think it's only effective for a while. I also wonder at times about what he posts, wondering if it's allowed or ethical. He doesn't tolerate any negative Race posts, and he is quite opinionated.

With neu I don't think a director posting would have much effect on the sp. Race had a mkt cap of $5m when he first appeared, neu's is $280m - with some huge (wealthy) major holders, big director holdings and institutions.

But it would be good for a few days if a director was on here, even just for shareholder communication. As the guy at Race said, every question is maybe being thought by 100 shareholders, and it is much better than answer lots of similar emails all day.

It would also give some shareholders more connection with the company.

Years ago I used to have lots of email exchange with Larry Glass at neu. He's great at answering questions, but he would never say anything outside of the rules (unfortunately for me). I so appreciated his responses that I once mentioned that if neu really does go big I will turn up at his farmstead in Maryland with a bottle of very aged single malt scotch.

My neu holdings are now tiny compared to what they were, but I still fancy calling in on the US with that bottle one day just to say hello and thanks.
