realistic expectations

So much talk about affordability - lets consider a case study of a current purchase in my family.

Tradesman, cabinetmaker to be precise, 25 , no savings to speak of and wife imn medium paying job, buy 2 bdrm house, 6 kms from CBD in Perth - under 400k. Get all the govt grants and they move in a month or two. Very ave couple - bit of hassle as with all property purchases, no guarantees from folks - but they do have an attitude you young guns can benefit from - can do attitude. Someone forgot to tell them all the reasons why you guys said they could not do it. Good area and they will work on it and improve. Maybe - just maybe kids like this are the real champions and something to be proud of.
