Hi Guys, I'm a newbie to HC but held/dabbled in stocks for 5yrs plus .. hope you dont mind me giving my 2c...

The statement "There are reasonable grounds to believe that the group will be able to pay its debts as and when they become due and payable..." is whats called a 'solvency declaration', and all companies have to make it on an annual basis.
I have a small business and every year ASIC send out a declaration with this statement pre-printed and it is to be signed by the directors and sent back to ASIC along with the annual fee to register the business.

It does not really mean anything material, only that if you dont sign it, you are admitting that your company is trading whilst insolvent. It is illegal to trade whist insolvent.

Having said that, I also bought more CNP today after catching knives all over the place this year. I believe that the real estate assets and reliable / predictable cash flow will at the very least allow the banks to give them more time to sell down, or at best continue in the long term. Despite all the D&G out there at the mo, at 8c the upside seems too tempting to pass up!

Waiting for news on Sept 30....
