Just needed to post an apology if my posting has at any stage caused anyone to keep holding and not use a stop loss.
Eventually reading some of these posts makes me see how fragile some traders are, and are obviously too easily influenced without doing their own research. I intend to post with less 'positiveness' in future - just pull me up if I get carried away!

I have always condoned a stop loss, but haven't heeded my own advice and have gone down with some massive losses over the last 8 months.

However, I don't want to see others suffering as I have and urge people to now, more than ever in these market conditions, always look at their stop loss position.

Regarding CVI - I'm feeling numb. Something definitely appears to have changed, and finding that Global were the recipients of the latest placement is sounding very strong alarm bells.
Smyth said recently that he couldn't wait to get Global out of the way - and then a supposed 10c per share placement goes to them?
So many things are warning us that all is not well.
However, people holding from much higher places would surely be better bottom drawering them now, rather than taking massive losses unless they have to, as I'm sure something will still come of them down the track.

The massive dilution has messed up any chances of the old prices that Smyth said he was aiming for - and my best hope now is for everyone to be able to walk away with no loss - and we'll get to a 'reasonable' price at some stage.
I have to commend encore for talking dilution very early in the piece - and seeing the market cap growing, so company value adding, but long term shareholders who had been in from higher prices when less 'paper' was on offer were being burnt.

Still holding some - mainly because they are options and there aren't enough buyers on the board.

I've spent today rocking in that foetal position, nursing some morbid thoughts - but did have one really great letter of encouragement as a friend knows how much I've lost lately.

I'd like to share it with you - as you may recognise some of your own personal traits in here?

    A pretty big reveal.

    Raks
We are like peas in a pod......
My head has been splitting lately as I have had blood pumping full of stress hormones for months now also.
    It will kill us eventually.
I have learnt something interesting about how most people, including me, shut themselves off to the information flow if it is potentially damaging when they are under a lot of stress or suffering emotional pain. That's why people stay in abusive relationships because their subconsious minds cut off the painful information, eg. their parntner is belting the crap out of them when they get drunk but he really cares about me, the subconcious wont let the rational mind see the reality that he wouldn't belt me if he cared about me.
So moving this behaviour to the market realm when we lose money it is very emotionally painful but our subconscious filters that info and only lets the good news through to our rational mind, we don't perceive the fact that we are getting our arses whipped hence why we should use stop losses as once we are out of a trade then there is no threat left to us and we can see clearly again and reassess the reality.
I have been getting caned using stops though so it is a hard situation to master. I have been putting them just under where I see support but have been getting hit and the trade has gone my way.
eg. Bought $Xk worth of AFG at 24c yesterday and got stopped out at 21c then it closed at 23c and hit 32c today.
This is typical of my last months trading or I take profits as soon as they are there and miss any real gains.
All of this behaviour comes down to fear based mistakes and the mental environment it makes in our minds.

Maybe we are both destined to end up on the scrapheap this time but I have to say that you have more talent at picking stocks when you are not under pressure than just about anyone.
Most successful traders have hit the wall more than once until they got it right. If it was easy then everybody would be millionares but most lose their shirts.
I'm so stuffed in the head that I could not see myself back in the ...(privacy protected).... game and am looking at doing something totally different until I feel good about myself again and I expect it to take a few months at a minimum.
We are in a mental wilderness but we got ourselves here so we can find our way back.

I really would like to catch up to have a real meeting as you are the only friend I can talk to about this shit that understands as you are going through it too.
