Also, since Fort Denison was built out of sandstone on an island, it is possible it is sinking due to the weight of the sandstone. So, the 0.65mm per year (or 2.5" over the past century) is a maximum. In other words, any rise in sea level over the past 100 years is so small it is difficult to measure. Hardly a climate emergency!
