Miss Angel raised an interesting point. The DOE will not like to be messed about, after all it is their oil (on behalf of the Philipines population!). Perhaps they will be asking questions and making a few stipulations in future production projects.

I assume a viable plan has to be submitted to the DOE to get project approval? They can't be happy at the competence of the management demostrated so far. Everyone keeps blaming the weather but anyone close to the project will tell you a lot of the delay could have been averted.

Sadly all out of Nido's control but I am sure they will be learning from this. Goes to show that the management team is as important as getting a good day rate for your facilities.

All the above does not detract from the current position, most of the problems are behind now and first oil should be within a week or so.
